If you didn’t hear, I have been spending a lot of my semi-retirement studying wildlife. Those of you that haven’t stopped by the Daily Buckets or Dawn Chorus or seen my videos (from my youtube channel) get a free screening today. The two videos below have not been offered to another group.
The first 1 minute video focuses on a Lesser Yellowlegs (a shore bird.) I concentrated on things that clarify the species. Some of those “markers” are size (compared to the two Killdeer) and it’s call (just before flight). Here is that quaint little bird.
The next video was compiled from five different recordings. I was sitting on a path and heard the birds within a thicket. I waiting until each bird emerged and filmed those wonderful moments. Most people don’t get to see these elusive creatures. I hope they entertain you like they did me when I found them.
