x Hamas apparently knew how to get around Israel’s Iron Dome defenses. They probably learned this from Iran. Iran almost certainly got the information from Russia. And who gave it to Russia? Sure looks like it was Donald Trump, at the request of Putin: https://t.co/dDrVhVNWqx — Thom Hartmann (@Thom_Hartmann) October 8, 2023

Wikipedia:

Notably, on May 10, 2017, Trump disclosed classified information to Russian government representatives, creating political and security concerns in the United States and its allies, especially Israel. Soon after the meeting, American intelligence extracted a high-level covert source from within the Russian government because of concerns the individual was at risk, in part, by the repeated mishandling of classified intelligence by Trump and his administration.[2]

An American source was put at immediate risk, but it could have been a lot more than that.

NYTimes: (May 16, 2017)

WASHINGTON — The classified intelligence that President Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian officials at the White House was provided by Israel, according to a current and a former American official familiar with how the United States obtained the information. The revelation adds a potential diplomatic complication to an episode that has renewed questions about how the White House handles sensitive intelligence.

Newsweek is tying it all together:

Donald Trump's sharing of alleged classified intelligence to Russian officials in the White House has come under scrutiny amid a large-scale attack by the Hamas Islamist military group against Israel.

Newsweek (May 16, 2017)

On Monday, the Washington Post, citing officials with knowledge of the matter, reported that Trump boasted about top-secret information in his meeting last week with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak. <snip> According to Yedioth, Israeli intelligence officials feared that its famous Mossad secret service would have its most sensitive methods and operations breached, potentially falling into the hands of the Iranian regime.

While this may simply be Hartmann’s speculation (that Trump leaked Iron Dome secrets), Russia’s intelligence service seems the most likely avenue to having provided material to Iran and then Hamas. Considering their relationship at the moment for getting drones and other matériel to use against Ukraine, the remaining question is whether Trump actually did provide Israeli-related classified information to Russia.

As we know with Russian media, they may advertise their involvement and Trump’s at any moment.
