Why Singapore? [1]

My Google political blog, Mac's Back Porch, rarely receives more than forty views (clicks) on any given day. According to Google that blog has received 13,565 views this month. 12.000 of those views came form Singapore and another thousand from Hong Kong. Furthermore, the people visiting my blog seem to be studying it. I say this because they are viewing almost everything I posted there, and I started that blog in 2009. While I am flattered by the attention, I cannot help wondering why people in China have suddenly taken such an interest in my writing. If those people are trying to get some idea of how American voters are feeling about contemporary issues, it is unlikely that they would read things I posted twenty years ago. It is also unlikely that they would read a rather obscure blog that has very little influence over the populous.
Unfortunately, it is very unlikely that anyone in China will go through the annoying “prove you're not a robot” procedures to leave a comment about what peaked his or her interest in my blog. Have any of you been experiencing so much attention from China? I am interested in hearing from people who have more information or plausible explanations. My request is driven more by curiosity than paranoia, though I must admit that I cannot totally rule out the latter.
