New poem, in sonnet form (for today’s Republican House dysfunction)
Oh, Say Can You ‘C’
A cravenly clueless, cackling chorus
Of curious cryptic conspiracy causes,
From the cowardly cynical Chaos Caucus —
That cacophonous, crazy, criminal circus —
Has callously crafted a Constitutional crisis…
Consider what it’s created has currently cost us:
Their crass contempt is corrupting our Congress
Like a cancer consuming a carrion carcass;
They contrive these convoluted caustic clashes
Calculated to continue til everything crashes.
While our camp is constantly, carefully cautious,
Our commitment to conveying truth is contagious
And connects and protects and comforts the courageous,
And they cannot ever control us or stop us!
