Anna Luna Gives Middle Finger Salute to the USAF [1]

Anna Luna just gave the middle finger salute to each and every active-duty USAF service member, reservist, and veteran. And she did it, of all places, in her Happy Birthday “salute” message to the USAF. How outrageous. How moronic. How Luna.

It’s no wonder she deleted them quickly after having just been caught by RawStory. This follows her giving Vladimir Zelenskyy another of her middle finger salutes when she falsely claimed he was demanding F-35s when in fact he’s requesting F-16s. And she didn’t even have the courage to go to Kyiv to diss him personally. She lobbed her lie grenade at him from her safe haven in Warsaw.

Yesterday RawStory outed her for sending out her USAF Happy Birthday salute on Twitter and Instagram with the graphic above containing what is a middle finger salute of 6 MiG-29 Fulcrum silhouettes; And they were not depicted getting shot down by any USAF F-22s or F-16s: She had them flying in close formation like the freaking Thunderbirds.

What’s Different in These Pictures?

I have just a couple of things to note here.

First, as anyone even moderately familiar with modern fighter tactics like I was way back in the day when I was in Air Force intelligence, in the era of heat-seeking and radar-guided surface-to-air and air-to-air missiles, USAF fighter pilots don’t fly into combat in such close quarters in formation unless they’re in an air show…or a movie.

Second, someone needs to get that woman a Jane’s World of Aircraft atlas because this is the second time in just 3 months she’s blown the call on the F-16 Fighting Falcon. I pointed out her first F-16 epic fail in my article “Putin Duck-Puppets Gone Wild” where I reported on how she travelled to Warsaw to hammer Zelenskyy by falsely claiming he was demanding F-35s...not F-16s.

Did she really think the USAF or the press wouldn’t notice? Who does her graphics...and her talking points? The GRU?

In their article titled Republican congresswoman used Russian fighter jet images in salute to U.S. Air Force, RawStory reported that:

“The office of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) deleted two of the congresswoman’s social media posts after Raw Story reported that the airplane silhouettes used in her happy birthday message to the U.S. Air Force were actually Russian fighter jets.”

It’s now obvious that Anna Luna, whose job was Air Force base airfield management, can’t seem to tell the difference between an F-16, an F-35, or even a Russian MiG-29.

Instead of apologizing, Luna and her Communications Director Edie Heipel threw an unnamed “junior staffer” under the bus.

“This post was published without approval from me as the comms director, via a junior staffer,” she wrote. “Rep. Luna is a US Air Force veteran who worked in airfield management and her husband is a Bronze Star/Purple Heart Combat Controller. To suggest she doesn’t know the difference between American and Russian fighter jets is asinine.”

The only “asinine” notions at play here, Ms. Heipel, are that a former USAF airfield management specialist either can’t tell the difference between and F-16, and F-35 AND one of Putin’s jets, which means you’re lying on your boss’ behalf; Or, that Luna couldn’t find the time to review her own USAF Happy Birthday Salute; Or, that Luna is such an incompetent manager not just of airfields, but of her own Congressional office to the extent that her staff can publish such an incredibly important message to our Air Force without Luna’s ok. Or is it all of the above?

Whichever of the above is the truth, Ms. Heipel, all are of equal asininity.

And to my fellow voters in Florida’s District 13: As I sing in the first verse of my musical parody entitled “The Highway to Moscow,” here’s a song for you on Luna:

“She’s travelin’ down the highway to Moscow

Been compromised by the GRU

Get’s talking points on WhatsApp from the Kremlin

Does it all in the name of me and you.”
