Date: 2023-09-26

I live in Albuqerque and the central line of the eclipse will pass less than one half mile of my house! You can follow the track on Google Earth.

First, install Google Earth, then

Download the Google Earth overlay here:

xjubier.free.fr/…

This page as links for 60-odd years of eclipses around the world.

Scroll down to “Annular Eclipses” and click on the Octoner 14, 2023 link. It should automatically open Google Earth with the overlay on board.

If you zoom in you will see a little red “target” in the center of your screen. Click on it and it will show a table of times and directions for key points of the eclipse at that location.

Note: times are in Univeral Time; convert to your local time here.

A few local maximum eclipse times (all times local):

Corpus Christi TX — 1155

San Antonio TX — 1154

Odessa-Midland TX — 1145

Time Zone Change

Hobbs NM — 1043

Albuquerque NM — 1036

4 Corners — 10:33

Time Zone Change

Elko NV — 0924

Florence OR — 0918

ALWAYS USE APPROVED EYE PROTECTION, EVEN AT ECLIPSE MAXIMUM

There are many eclipse parties around the West. Check your local listings.
