Happy Tuesday!

We’re back after the Day of Atonement. How did you like our so far one-and-only Jewish calendar joke yesterday? How did you enjoy the day off from the usual jokes, Eastern Orthodox folks?

With a day away from the microphone, it should be a Tuesday that feels like a Monday. But after the disorientation of fasting, it looks like it’ll have more of a Friday feel. Or at least an “I can’t believe it’s not Friday” feel.

Lots of big news to catch up on, and a chance to have Joan McCarter bring us up to speed on what House Republicans aren’t up to speed with.

Sounds like there should have been a lot more atonement going on.
