NBC: Where Noxious Bull Crap Plays Well, and Truth Comes Back to Bite You [1]

It’s a sick, convulsive joke. After 30,000 rarely weighed or scrutinized whoppers in office, Donald Trump avails himself of NBC’s mewling, appeasing invitation to come on “Meet the Press”- and (what a shock) rev his mendacious motormouth till the cowed come home.
But here’s the thing. Like a broken clock or a boy crying “wolf,” he can’t help but tell the truth once in a while. So now he tells Meet the Press’s newest elephant whisperer, Kristen Welker, that he followed his own instincts (not his aides’ or his lawyers’) when he sent his incendiary, seditionist troop “to the Capitol….to fight like hell.”
Oops. So now, ruing that candid outburst, whom does he “attack, attack, attack” (quoting his own political Svengali/Nixon Trickster Roger Stone)? Why, NBC, of course! How dare they hand him some rope (cf. the J6 gallows), and fail to keep him from hanging himself?
Hence, he honks, the network must pay a YUGE price! After all, why should they “be allowed to use the very valuable Airwaves (sic) of the USA, FREE?”
What do they think this is, a FREE country???
According to Trump, it’s a “once great” nation whose problems can be solved largely by smiting the outlets of fact-steeped news, whose reportage he pegs “Country Threatening Treason.”
Irony alert. If NBC, CNN, CBS, and so on are guilty of anything treasonous, it involves aiding, comforting, and legitimizing the ogre of “get rid of the ballots.” The prolifically indicted (on scores of felony counts) public enemy who wants to execute our laws (in more ways than one). And yes (find a barf bag if you can), the admitted (on tape) long-time habitual grabber who’s been credibly accused of carnal assault by dozens of women, and of rape by at least 3 persons (one of whom was 13 years old at the time).
For all that (and boatloads more), he remains a threat to contend for the White House next year (on a win-or-coup basis, of course). Go figure. (And try not to go nuts.)
Earth to NBC: ever hear the old hit song, “The Snake?” In it, a kind woman helps an ailing, poisonous serpent back to health...only to wind up fatally bitten.
