Why Do Some Daily Kos Users Crave Blood??? (Maybe another "finger waggling diary", Don't Care) [1]

A common misconception on this site is that a Government Shutdown will cause Social Security checks stop. Well, they don’t. Some users seem to have problems with this however. They want checks to stop just to… Stick it to the Republicans I guess. Give the Democrats talking points or whatever.



Here’s the thing. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but there are at least… Two users on Kos that rely on Social Security exclusively. This rant isn’t official enough for graphs and flowcharts so take my word on that. I am a Democrat. I am a Daily Kos user. I am exclusively on Social Security. So if Social Security DID stop during a shutdown uh… I’m screwed. A Democrat is screwed. A Daily Kos user is screwed. Many many people like me are screwed… So pardon my french, what the hell???



Why are people so eager on here to chuck living people, members of the Democratic community who vote Democratic into the furnace? Are we just cheap talking points to you? Are we better off dead just so you can say “See??? See???” for your sweet, sweet Gotcha Points. News flash, we can’t vote when we’re dead.



This extends to secession. Yeah yeah, Smart Fish mentions secession again. The principal is The Other. The Other on Social Security, the Other in Red States? They’re worthy of sacrifice to make “OUR” lives better. That’s what I get from some users here. Secession is a super MAGA talking point yet others here on the left agree for their own selfish motives. How MAGA. Stopping Social Security is a super MAGA talking point but others on the left agree for their own selfish motives. Not even motives though. Just talking points. It doesn’t matter how many lives are lost because we’re The Other. We’re not their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents. So who cares?



Funny little mindgames. That’s all it is to them. It’s not their necks in the guillotine in these scenarios. Just something to have a chuckle about. Funny little scenarios where The Other gets hurt. Because I guess we’re the guinea pigs. We’re the lab rats. Those in red states, those on Social Security. We’re the sacrifices for THEIR better life. I see a lot of snarky comments about the worst of the worst MAGA. Funny, because I think some of you would get along with them more than you think with ideas like these. I thought this was the Progressive Democrat site, for those who can see farther than their own nose.



Sometimes I don’t see it. My suggestion for a better Democratic party? Stop agreeing with MAGA, our sworn enemies on their worst ideas.
