I was studying Roman history and the role of Christianity. I came across a book; Caesar's Messiah by Joseph Atwill. The book describes the creation of a religion that was designed to fight the Jewish Rebellion. That was a threat to the Roman empire. The new religion has a Father (Vespasian), a Son (Titus) and Holy Spirit (Domitian). These were representative of the Flavian dynasty and emperors in their turn. The Cross, for example, is symbolically the "crossing over." The Romans didn't use a cross but a pole. The minuscule "t" symbolizes the Son (Titus) and is the only letter that has a cross-bar. The leader of the Jewish Rebellion was named Eleazar. In the New Testament he is represented as Lazarus. Thus, the "feast of Lazarus" was the cannibalistic feast Eleazar! There is much more.
