Sorry about the ugly green squares I inadvertently left on the bottom of last week's puzzle. But I'm brown/green/orange colour blind. chess.com, where we build the puzzle diagrams, no longer lets us change the board colour from 'putrid green' like it used to. So now in order to bring you these magnificently coloured diagrams in 'lobachevsky brown', we are forced to use a picture editor.
By the way, I can tell you that being colour blind does not help at all when you're a budding electrical engineer trying to pick out the correct resistors for your latest circuit board design. Hope that bit of exposition does not detract too much from the power of the Azimov quote.
