Insomniacs' Late Night Vent Hole - Absence Edition [1]

This vent-hole (hereinafter known as IVH), if lost or stolen will not be replaced or purchase price refunded. Violation of IVH rules will result in expulsion without refund. I’ve got nothing again this week. A brief explanation of my absence this past week. It’s issues.

My chest hurts (it’s not the heart), my feet hurt, same with the knees and hips, headaches and for some reason, I spontaneously bleed enough to make a mess on my arms even though there is no wound. I don’t bleed that bad when the cats claw me.

I’m having trouble with my eyes, the right one in particular. Saw the eye doctor today, he tells me there is nothing we can do about it. The gelatin like stuff around my retina is pulling away from it and I can see it as an image in my vision, the good news is, my retina isn’t damaged.

I’m having trouble with the internal plumbing too, gut hurts when I eat and it doesn’t make a difference what I eat. I’m chewing Pepcid like candy sometimes and my BM’s are slow. I just don’t feel that good. I’ve been hitting the Tylenol pretty hard too. I sleep as much as my nasal congestion allows.

So anyway, I’m a mess. Here’s to a better tomorrow and I’m not going to knock on wood, I won’t be responsible for any poor trees getting knocked down in Florida! OK, open thread, my friends!

The battle over AI and the writer’s guild continues. Here’s the problem: The writer’s are striking for decent wages for their creativity. The rich that they work for seem to think that they can wait out the writers and instead count on Artificial Intelligence to replace the writers and protect their bottom line. Neither side will budge so I’ve put the Brolly whacker in the closet for now. I wonder if we will ever see late night television like we used to again. Spoil away, this is an open thread.
