Well, it’s 9/11 again.

But it’s also almost Talk Like a Pirate Day. That’s a week from tomorrow. I’d rather deal with that one.

In other news, I watched Contagion (2011) last night. Definitely amazing how accurately the movie predicted Internet-driven rumor mongering and the damage it would do.

On the other hand, it predicted lots of perfectly plausible rioting and chaos that just didn’t happen.

Well, not for the reasons shown in the movie, anyway.

Greg Dworkin had already warned us about most of these possibilities well before then, though, with his flu pandemic work.

And now, he’ll be on hand to tell you about who’s a step closer to going to jail for the rioting and chaos we did have.
