More Russian stuff blowing up, plus Russia arrests generals in charge of Moscow air defense [1]

This would be the second of Russia’s highfalutin’ over-the-horizon coastal radars that costs a bazillion dollars apiece. Ukraine blew up another of these a week or two ago.

They have been reported to cost $20 million each but who knows. Maybe that figure includes kickbacks and payoffs.

Russia is taking chances that a drone will land in Romania, west of the river. The big question is whether Romania will do anything about it other than huff and puff.

These are Threads videos. The first is the destruction of a Russian mortar position. The second shows two villages at the border with Russia being liberated even though there have been no troops there. The area had been mined and was only recently cleared.

Getting rid of Lancet launchers is a big deal. These might be Russia’s most effective weapons.

There are reports that Ukraine has reached the railroad tracks that run north-south on the east side of Klishchiivka and Andriivka. If they can keep going, that would make a breakthrough on this front possible.

This reminds me of the story of Fala, FDR’s dog. Republicans had accused FDR of leaving his Scottish terrier behind in the Aleutian Islands during a tour there during WWII and then sending a Navy ship back to fetch him at taxpayer expense. The charge wasn’t true and FDR threw it back in the GOP’s face during his famous Fala Speech.
