Photo Diary: Greetings From Wichita KS [1]

The drive here across Kansas from Denver was very monotonous, consisting mostly of cornfields, cows, and the occasional windmill farm.
As one of the docents in a museum I visited mentioned to me, somewhat morbidly, Wichita may be best-known for being the home of the BTK serial killer, who has recently been in the news again here as another victim may have been identified. Technically, BTK lived in a suburb called Park City, which is where one of my camping spots is located. His house was bulldozed and is now an empty lot, but, the docent told me, the place is still an odd sort of pilgrimage for true-crime fans.
I’ll be posting from Wichita for a couple of weeks.
