Well, this episode is one year old, anyway.
Yes, it’s Labor Day. So I’m hard at work, attempting not to labor.
But of course, not working today entails… a fair bit of work.
First order of business: digging up a previous recording to run with.
Today, it’s the September 2, 2022 episode.
Not all that unusual, since we often go with whatever we recorded on last year’s date. But this time, it seemed a little more poignant, in that last year’s Sept. 2nd show was the day after Biden’s “Battle for the Soul of the Nation” speech, from Philadelphia.
It was a good one and all. But it made me wonder how you’d all react if you were asked whether you felt like we were truly one full year into a genuine Battle for the Soul of the Nation.
There’s been some progress. Some people are going to prison. And other are perhaps beginning to believe that they might, too.
But, I mean… the Soul of the Nation!
I guess I thought there’d be more fire and brimstone, or whatever.
Anyway, fire up the time machine. It’s time to go!
