Former Donald Trump adviser Peter Navarro tussles with a protestor after being spanked by Judge Amit P. Mehta in his criminal contempt case.
The ruling was blunt. Navarro will be barred from telling a jury that executive privilege was part of his decision not to respond to a congressional subpoena from the now-defunct House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. No wiggle room there.
Navarro attempted three times to tear a sign from the woman at his press conference after the ruling.
