The Politics Behind the Nobel Peace Prize [1]

A year ago, Ukrainian President Zelensky was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Yes, Zelensky is a true hero, but is this just me, or does anybody else see a problem here? Somebody at WAR possibly being awarded a prize for PEACE? I don't believe that this is how it should work and, in my opinion, this nomination reeked of politics.

Was reading quaoar’s diary on Russian Stuff Blowing Up, and saw his mentioning that Chef Jose Andre should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Reading this gave me an insightful moment.

I concur with quaoar’s nomination suggestion, and my nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize would also be Chef Jose Andre, who has been feeding Ukrainian people who have been devastated since this war began, and has had a very long history of feeding victims of natural and man-made disasters around the entire world. Not to take anything away from Zelensky, who is definitely a hero, but Chef Andre would be a very appropriate nomination. What say you? People involved in wars, no matter how righteous those wars are, should not be getting peace prizes. The prize should be reserved for those who commit great acts of peace.

Once again, a big thank you to quaoar, who got me thinking about something that flew over my head until I read his diary.
