Mitch McConnell 'appeared to freeze for more than 30 seconds' yet again [1]

I have ZERO love for McConnell, Z.E.R.O! The man has played a big part in creating the polarization and deadlock we are facing today. I could go on and on…. and on…. counting the ways he has damaged our nation.
But this video is still pretty hard to watch for me.
It’s time for him to step down. And amazingly, the question he blanked on was about his willingness to run for reelection. How is that even remotely an idea that should be under serious consideration?
Everyone knows this is wrong. And it’s not just McConnell, there are many other members of Congress who are way past the time when they shouldn’t be serving, Feinstein comes to mind (yes, she needs to stick around for judicial appointments but she shouldn’t have run last time and BETTER not run again in her next election).
And no, before anyone says anything about age discrimination, that is NOT what I am talking about. Joe Biden is still sharp as a tack at 80-something, I FULLY support him. I am talking about people who are clearly struggling to perform their duties.
This really isn’t someone who should be in a leading position in our government.

That said, I do think Mitch will not run and I think it’s probably 50/50 that he sticks around in the Senate until the election so my question is, what next?
At one point I would have said that it would be fantastic news that he stepped down…. and that no one could be worse so… good news right?
Now I am not so sure. Not that he is a good guy, but he is at least fairly predictable and in comparison to Kevin McCarthy, McConnell is an island of sanity in a dead sea of crazy that makes up the modern GOP.
