Breathe deep, the gathering gloom [1]

My small town of Roseburg Oregon has been absolutely blanketed with a thick layer of smoke for the last 3 days. I would take pictures, but I'm staying inside with my bipap mask on at all times because yesterday I took it off to eat and then switched to the regular oxygen nose cannula and within an hour, I was throwing up with a splitting headache and swelling in my extremities. It's that bad. They have already determined that tomorrow will be a half day of school due to the fact that it's supposed to be even worse tomorrow. I don't know how long this is going to be like this, but one thing is certain: it gets worse every year. For people with COPD and other pulmonary diseases, this is not just an inconvenience, this is a real genuine hazard to our well-being. Please be safe out there, and please stay inside if you're close to where I am or anywhere that's experiencing the same issues. You might not realize it, but that smoke affects every system in your body. Also, bless the firefighters out there risking life and limb to keep us safe. May you all be safe and protected out there.
