Ukraine lost two training planes and their pilots in a mid-air collision.

x 🕯️Two Ukrainian L-39 training planes collided in Zhytomyr Oblast on the evening of August 25. Unfortunately, three pilots, including well-known pilot with callsign Juice, were killed. This is one of the pilots. He likely would have been sent for training on the F-16s.

x Today we sadly bid farewell to @_juicefighter_ .

He was, in fact, the face of Ukraine’s Air Force in this war.

Big bavovna.

The last blown-up warehouse that Russia claimed was pyrotechnics turned out to also be storing ammunition.

More bavovna. This is from Threads, not Twitter.

Oh nooooooooooo, not Biber!

You may recall back when Prigozhin announced he was pulling Wagner out of Bakhmut that he joked about leaving two crack commandos behind to guard the city — Biber and Dolek, the two guys in the photo. Biber is on the right.

Now only Dolek remains. He’s guarding Bakhmut by himself now.

Amazing that this guy waited so long to jump off.

Yesterday there was a post about a group of Russian soldiers on an island near Kherson who were cut off and Russian commanders were not willing to try to evacuate them. Here’s an update.

x According to the 205th's TG Channel, they have lost three companies now fighting on the island near Kozachi Laheri on the left bank of the Dnipro River in occupied Kherson, Ukraine

Devils, namely, the Brigade Commander 'T' and the head of the Intelligence Unit 'D' send our boys without artillery support, without copters - they put the boys in packs!!! "The intelligence unit gave orders to move to the island to perform tasks. The Company of the RGR, all 200-300, GUYS went. Next comes the 1st Reconnaissance Company, 200-300 + in captivity, our 2nd Reconnaissance Company went, 200-300, there is no artillery support, we lose a company in 2 days"

An update on the situation in the Robotyne to Tokmak axis. This is largely based on Russian military bloggers, so feel free to take this with a grain or two of salt.

Rumors that the Russians are fighting in Robotyne appear to be just that. Instead, there are a grouping of trenches and strongpoints in the gap between Robotyne and #Novoprokopivka from which the Russian 42nd Motorized Rifle Division, supported by other units, has attempted several counterattacks with little if any tangible results due to heavy artillery fire from AFU supporting units to the rear. This is not to say, however, that the fighting in this sector has not been brutal with losses on both sides. Note: This is not OPSEC and is based on OSINT from Russian and Ukrainian Sources: There are also indications that the AFU has cleared and penetrated some of the heavily mined areas along Russia's main line of defense in this area. Key to this are reports from Ukrainian sources that they have taken control of one or more key GLOC(s) (ground lines of communication). If true, this is extremely good news. Controlling these GLOCs will not only allow the AFU to further breach the main lines of defense, but increase the tempo of their advances. In a sign that the AFU will move rapidly to take advantage of this, the Russian Mil-blogger Rybar reported this morning, with a sense of trepidation, that the AFU has positioned additional reserves in the AO (18th Mechanized Brigade and 15th Kara-Dag National Guard Brigade) which, in his words, will "enter the battle to further break through the defense." "Further" being the operative word.

This was needed. Ukraine isn’t going to master combined arms anytime soon, but they need to concentrate on one area instead of trying to attack at many spots along the front.

11 days ago, the Ukrainian commander-in-chief met with allies on the Polish-Ukrainian border. For five hours, the military discussed changes to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' plans - in particular, counter-offensive and how to plan combat operations in winter were on the agenda. The meeting was attended by US General Christopher Cavoli and UK Chief of the General Staff Tony Radakin. The Guardian's sources acknowledged that the strategy did change after the discussions. "I think you may have noticed that they have focused on the Zaporizhzhia front," one insider said.

Not sure how they would ignite this.

No, it isn’t sensitive. In fact, it is quite uplifting.
