It's A Beautiful Day! [1]

Yesterday, a county jail in Georgia held the once most powerful man in the world, under arrest. A would be tyrant, who still enjoys the protection of a small army of taxpayer funded agents who surround the putrid stench of his disgraced persona like so many flies swarming my dog's morning dump, Trump was forced to obey. Collared and brought to heel, the simple act of taking a mugshot like so many of us have had to endure, caused him to finally show his true color, and it isn't orange, it's evil. You can see it in the picture. The sinister scowl of a man child melting on the inside like an M&M in your palm, just before the shell shatters and oozes out it's mess on your hand. His sycophants and butt kissers are all up in arms, whining about a cruel and broken justice system. The very system that they themselves have built. They touted it as necessary to protect us. Now, suddenly it is unacceptable as it finally begins to function as designed and exposes their treacherous deeds. This is not a sad or dark day in America. It's a beautiful day. A day when corrupt and unchecked power was for one brief moment stopped cold in it's tracks. That's a good thing. I don't know what what the final outcome will be but this is a step in the right direction. One small step towards justice, one giant leap towards equality. If they can do it to you, well, it's about damn time they do it to him. And to them. Right wing nutjobs are crying about a chilling effect it will have. Good. That's what law enforcement is supposed to do, chill the desire to commit sinister acts and abuses of power. Let every low life who is thinking about emulating Trump and his goons be chilled to their very core; justice is coming. And to everyone who has been abused, brutalized and humiliated by unchecked and unjust power, take a moment to enjoy this day. To every woman abused by a dirt bag who went unpunished, every child who has had their innocence destroyed by a trusted elder, every person of color brutalized by the authorities, every rainbow standard bearer attacked for being yourself, take a moment to know that although our wounds may never fully heal and those who harmed us are still left unpunished, the system has finally claimed one small but crucial victory in the name of equal justice. Power was with the people, for that one sublime moment with the click of the camera. Look at his mugshot. It is fear and anger, broken and submissive. Powerless. For the first time in his life, if only for a moment, captured forever in a mugshot for all the world to see. It's a beautiful day!
