AI and the threat to those that make things. [1]

Millrat here, I've been making things for over 40 years now. Artificial Intelligence is here. Not so intelligent yet, but moving forward by the day. How will this affect the people that make things? I have no idea, but I have some thoughts as always.

My job entails troubleshooting faults in equipment on the production floor, primarily electrical faults. It involves quite a bit of reflection on previous failures experienced.

I think it will be sometime before algorithms can make that leap. Hopefully I'm not wrong.
