Ukraine hit an S-400 missile complex in Crimea, setting off a huge explosion.

Translation: We are lucky they are so stupid.

x Russians lack intellect!

Harsh words from Colonel Petro Chernyk regarding the destroyed S-400 system.

Ukraine picked up another MI-8 helicopter thanks to its defecting pilot. This was apparently well planned.

x “A Russian combat helicopter Mi-8 together with the entire crew arrived in Ukraine and surrendered to the Armed Forces,” Yuriy Butusov reports. Russian air force related channels said the helicopter got lost due to navigational errors..

The GUR just confirmed the operation. A Russian Mi-8 carrying spare parts for fighter jets was lured into Ukraine in an operation that lasted over 6 months. Two crew members (unaware where they were heading) were reportedly eliminated while the Russian pilot was kept unharmed. He is reunited with his family that was taken to Ukraine earlier.

According to one version, the pilot of the helicopter purposefully crossed the border to surrender and hand over the equipment. It is also reported that his family was taken to Ukraine in advance. It is also known that the helicopter may have had spare parts for Su-30 airplanes on board. The Russian side does not officially confirm this information. However, the military media close to the Russian Air Force say that there was a navigation error and "the pilot got lost".

Reportedly Ukrainians in a speedboat engaged a Russian jet with a MANPADS and damaged the jet.

GUR is Ukrainian Intelligence:

x More from the GUR. Close to Zmiiny Island, near the Boyko’s Towers, a Ukrainian servicemen reportedly hit a Russian fighter jet. Hopefully more soldiers will refuse to go to Ukraine.

x Russian soldier Dmitriy Vasilets is now on trial in Russia for refusing to go to the "special military operation" zone.

Vasilets says he is ready to serve time in prison for his convictions.

Video of Prigozhin’s jet on its way to a fiery landing after being hit by what may have been an S-300 or a Pantsir missile. The plane was flying at about 28k feet, so out of range of MANPADS. Another possibility is that a bomb was planted on the plane.

Looks like he had plenty of time to think about it before crashing. He fucked around with Putin. He found out.

Prigozhin was a war criminal and a terrorist. He had it coming.

x Ironically, the plane took a bit of time before it hit the ground. pic.twitter.com/z1bQlhTbvZ — Dmitri (@wartranslated) August 23, 2023

x 🧵1/3 The cause of Prigozhin's plane crash remains undetermined, but there have been assertions of air defenses involvement. The S-300 air defense unit is located roughly 50 km from the crash site, adds weight to this theory, though not as conclusive or final proof. pic.twitter.com/H3pgQIepcK — Tatarigami_UA (@Tatarigami_UA) August 23, 2023

This guy even looks like what Hollywood would cast as a serial killer or the bad guy in an action film. Good riddance to him too. Check out the Nazi tattoos on his shoulders.

Moscow’s shiny business district gets hit again. Apparently Russia can shoot down Prigozhin’s jet but not a Ukrainian drone flying across the country.

Russia continues to hit kindergartens. What kind of monsters do that?

x 11 drones out of 20 were destroyed over Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions overnight. There were hits on production and transshipment complexes, and grain storage facilities were damaged. Some hopeful predictions from a retired American general and commander of US Army forces in Europe:

x -Ru forces won’t be able to reinforce a key area on the “Suvorikin line,” which will contribute to UAF success.

-support for Putin in RU will continue to decline & by Christmas he’ll be in dire straits in Moscow.

-western support for key “ground” support will continue. 10/ — MarkHertling (@MarkHertling) August 21, 2023
