Texas Hypocrisy reaches a new low (High). [1]

This story caught my eye.

A Texas female state employee was denied time off to seek medical care due to complications from her pregnancy.

Mother Sues State of Texas over Stillborn child.

She eventually had a stillborn child and has sued the state for the wrongful death of her child. Texas is of course contesting the suit. What it amazing are the grounds they are choosing to argue against the woman. They have actually said that a fetus has no constitutional rights.

Now read that again. You can’t have an abortion because it violates the rights of the fetus but if that fetus dies from neglect caused by the state, then that same fetus has no rights under Texas law.

This has to be the most blatant example of total hypocrisy that I have ever seen.
