Good morning, Newdists! It’s Sunday, which means a slow, mellow day, we hope!
Grab a cuppa and join us…..
All are welcome to join the fun, the silliness, the conversations. If you don’t know...just ask! Some things really do require a bit of explanation. There will be a few surprises along the way, all good ones, we hope. We are here to keep building the Daily Kos Community. We post Mon-Sun at 10:30 a.m. Eastern. Pie fights will be met with outrageous ridicule and insults. Trolls will be incinerated and served at the next group BBQ. As briquettes.

I learn odd little bits of things all the time. I thought I knew everything about The Wizard of Oz, since I’ve seen the movie so many times, AND read the books!
But, just to keep me interested and such, I was yesterday years old when I came across this gem:
In the Wizard of Oz, the winged monkeys are played by humans in costumes. In the film, the head winged monkey is called Nikko. Nikko is actually the name of a Japanese town, the town is famous for having a shrine that features the origin of the Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil monkeys.
There is a LOT being said about Elon Musk’s latest “brainstorm” about deleting the Block feature on Twitter. Obviously, like so much else he has not thought this through.
To wit:
What would I do without Twitter?? Where would I find so many little gems??
This coming week is going to be SO much fun!! The Orange Menace is finally going to get a shot at reality, the likes of which have never been seen!!! (Someone in his entourage read that line. He latched onto it, and repeats it like some addlepated mantra!)
Reminds me of that line from “Night Of The Living Dead”:
They’re coming for you, Donald.
bwaahaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
