Well, my birthday was just a few days ago. I turned 68 years old. When I was born, in 1955, there were 48 states, and no ZIP Codes:
en.wikipedia.org/…
A ZIP Code is a system of postal codes used by the United States Postal Service (USPS). Introduced on July 1, 1963, the basic format consisted of five digits.[1] In 1983, an extended ZIP+4 code was introduced; it included the five digits of the ZIP Code, followed by a hyphen and four digits that designated a more specific location. The term ZIP is an acronym for Zone Improvement Plan;[2] it was chosen to suggest that the mail travels more efficiently and quickly[3] (zipping along) when senders use the code in the postal address. The term ZIP Code was originally registered as a service mark by the USPS; its registration expired in 1997.
Anyway, here is the link to the list of songs I am using:

TQ, at number 100:
I like the video. It has a guy in a wheelchair, both legs missing. My first wife, Pam, who died in 2008, was a quadriplegic, from birth, she was never able to walk. So, this artist decided to include so many folks from his neighborhood, (or someone’s neighborhood). I like the way so many kinds of folks are included in the video, young, old, Black, white, Latino, disabled, male, female.
Aretha Franklin, at number 95:
If Aretha Franklin gives you advice, you can accept it, and use it. (This song seems aimed at young women who are feeling hurt by certain men.) (My second wife, Tonia, was a Black woman, who had been hurt by certain men. She finally got a “good one”, me, in 2011. She died in March of 2022.)
Loreena McKennitt, at number 83:
I truly like this style of music. I did a little research, on this style:
en.wikipedia.org/…
The oldest musical tradition which fits under the label of Celtic fusion originated in the rural American south in the early colonial period and incorporated Scottish, Scots-Irish, Irish, and African American influences. Variously referred to as roots music, American folk music, or old-time music, this tradition has exerted a strong influence on all forms of American music, including country, blues, and rock and roll. The connections between traditional Scottish and Irish music and Rock music are deep and go back to the origins of American music. As Elvis Costello put it: "I started with rock n' roll and...then you start to take it apart like a child with a toy and you see there's blues and there's country...Then you go back from country into American music...and you end up in Scotland and Ireland eventually."[1]
Fascinating, as Spock would say. Ha!
Ha!
The Verve, at number 79:
Much of the lyrics to this are depressing, but not all:

I let the melody shine, let it cleanse my mind, I feel free now
Madonna, at number 75:
City life, moving fast.
Ace of Base, at number 66:
Nice, smooth.
Third Eye Blind, at number 57:
Yes, there it is, my coffee and tea song. Coffee and tea get me through this semi-okay life. Ha!
Janet featuring Blackstreet, at number 43:
I do not recall hearing this, back in the olden days. But it’s very nice, very smooth.
Chumbawamba, at number 35:
I still say, the actual correct title of that song is “I Get Knocked Down.”
But, nobody asked me. Ha!
Faith Hill, at number 25:
So romantic.
Will Smith, at number 14:
Get it, whether jiggy or not. Ha!
Janet, at number 6:
Recorded in Africa? Looks and sounds so smooth, so nice.
Shania Twain, at number 3:
Every time I see the title of that song, I think of this other song:
This song has extra nice guitar riffs. Such a classic.
Well, now it’s your turn.

And Ha!
