Democrats are not "good enough" to be Republicans, are they? [1]

Republicans who deviously portray Democrats as not good enough to legislate and lead because Democrats don't act and talk like Republicans inflame the current level of congressional gridlock, which presents a significant threat to the stability of our democracy.

If you disagree, we can test my proposition by examining the actions and words of some of the more outspoken Republican members of the current Congress.

Have you heard any Republican in the House or Senate admit, affirm, agree, concede, confirm, declare, disclose, grant, indicate, recognize, reveal, or say that, no matter how honest, genuine, diligent, and hard-working any Democrat might be, they are now or ever will be good enough to legislate and lead like a Republican?

Not sure?

Well, then, let’s ask and answer the following questions.

The actions and words of McCarthy, Jordan, Cruz, Blackburn, and their Republican colleagues in the House and Senate continue to prove they want voters to believe that no Democrat who fails to act and talk like a Republican is good enough to legislate and lead.

What do Republicans want voters to believe about President Joe Biden’s ability to legislate and lead?

Despite President Biden's impressive track record of creating millions of good-paying jobs, normalizing America's relations with enemies and allies alike, confronting the devastating impacts of climate change, cutting inflation, reducing the costs of prescription drugs, rebuilding our nation's infrastructure, and setting a moral tone in America that was trampled on by the former occupant of the White House, Republicans in the House and Senate continue to claim he is not now nor will he ever be good enough to legislate and lead because he doesn’t act and talk like the current leader of the Republican Party.

Republicans are shamelessly using Democratic President Biden as a scapegoat to divert attention from their failures to create jobs, normalize relations with foreign countries, confront climate change, cut inflation, reduce costs of prescription drugs, rebuild our infrastructure, and restore a sense of normalcy and morality in the federal government.

The critical question is, what will voters do about Republicans in Congress who waste their time and taxpayer money “blaming” Democrats in their pathetic attempts to hold on to personal power, privilege, and wealth instead of working across the aisle to legislate and lead to improve the quality of life for the American people?

Since we, the people, employ members of Congress, shouldn’t we fire the current crop of Republicans who prioritize personal power, wealth, and privilege and hire qualified, educated, honest, and motivated representatives and senators who will legislate and lead to benefit the entire nation and ensure a better future for all?

Who doesn’t know the answer to that question?

Regards to thinking voters everywhere,

Davy Z Jones
