More Russian stuff blowing up, plus Ukraine hits Russian airfield housing TU-22M3 Backfire bombers [1]

Ukraine hit a military airfield south of St. Petersburg where Tupolev TU-22M3 bombers are based. The swing-wing planes first developed in the 60s are dubbed Backfire by NATO and have been used to launch KH-22 cruise missiles and other bombs against Ukrainian targets.

Russia claims only one plane was damaged but they have moved their planes further north to a base in the Murmansk region.

A large fire started on the airfield after the drone strike. Russian military officials report one damaged aircraft.

Russia fired an Iskander missile into the center of Chernihiv, hitting a theater and killing at least seven, including a child.
