Future Gas Lighting - it's kind of a thing with the right wing [1]

If you’ve been watching Trump for the last I dont now 30 years, Trump loves to not only gas light but he loves to gas future light. If you watch him, he will make promises that he will never deliver on. Like that amazing Health Care that was better than Obama Care but of course never panned out. Like amazing wall that Mexico was gonna build but never got built. The trick is this, its not just gas lighting its gas future lighting, where you make a big boastful promise of something / anything knowing you can never deliver on it, doesnt matter if you did, what matters is the short-term benefit cause Trump knows his followers have very short term memory and will forgive him if he doesnt deliver. Cause in the same time frame future he will promise something newer and shinier. And they’ll be no consequences and a million BS excuses.

Here’s the latest future gas lighting by Trump he’s now promising “irrefutable report” evidence but its not available today of course it will be available in the future.

“A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. on Monday of next week in Bedminster, New Jersey. Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others – There will be a complete EXONERATION! They never went after those that Rigged the Election. They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!”

OK by now everyone is pretty much used to Trump future gas lighting but watch what the MAGA and Trump wannabes have learned from Trump. They’re all doing it now too. Recently Matt Gaetz said that if Trump was re-elected he could be made the Attorney General. Marjorie Taylor Green promises that if Trump is indicted Trump will win by a huge landslide. Everyone makes predictions “if trump wins then etc” But there’s usually a good faith wholehearted belief in making public predictions. But knowingly making a false prediction or false promise in the future for short-term political gain that’s just another form of Fraud without committing criminal fraud. And Trump is the master at this, expect Future Gas Lighting to be the new norm for the right wingers.
