Dear Gov Polis, you are harming women. [1]

This is in response of the news that dropped today about Gov Polis poor response to a question about abortion published in media.

Dear Gov Polis;

You are harming Women. You have forgotten these issues are about basic human rights for Women. You have forgotten that Women’s constitutional rights have been breached. You have neglected to mention that the current laws in many states governing Women and birth, are based not on science, but religion. This is a breach of the separation of church and state. You continue to allow the christian doctrines to define when life begins. You have, by silence, endorsed the centuries old doctrine of a soul being place in the body. That a soul may even exist in each egg in Women. Currently states are now trying to prohibit birth control as a result. And states are regulating Women’s bodies, forcing birth.

Women’s religious freedoms have been breached. They are no longer able to determine their beliefs or non-beliefs and have state sponsored controls upon their beliefs. They are unable to make their own choices based on their beliefs or non-beliefs. The state has forced others religious beliefs upon them. This is not freedom of religion.

This is about Women’s Rights. Not about choice, abortion, birth control or any of what politicians like to discuss to avoid the issue. Women have been advocating for years and they are not being heard.

Perhaps if the tables were turned and Women controlled men’s bodies you might understand. If men were forced to participate in birth by law this is how it might play out. When a Women wanted to give birth and their spouse refused, the state would mandate they be strapped to a machine to ensure the necessary sperm was obtained and then delivery it to the women. The state would then mandate the man was 100% financially responsible for all costs to raise the child through college. Maybe you, I and all men would then understand.

Will this help you to understand. This is about Women’s Rights.
