Street Prophets Friday: Previews (photo diary) [1]

['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.']

Hello, my dearest dumplings and welcome to another Friday-flavored bit of community fluff.

This week I'm busy pretending to be a social creature and running around northern Moravia and southern Poland, but I thought I'd toss a few of my favorite photos from the week so far into a little open thread diary and give you a taste of what I may be posting more of in the coming weeks.

We drove out of Prague and spent about four hours on the road to get to a bitsy burg just a bit south of the Moravian city of Ostrava. After getting settled in our accommodations, we walked up the hill for about three kilometers to a tavern and had a bowl of soup, a few beers and a long walk back down the hill. There was a bit of a drizzle in the air.

The next few days were spent in alternating drizzle and downpour, but we saw some interesting sites.

Tatra Museum I

Tatra Museum II

Landek Coal Mine Museum

Atop a pile of mining debris in Slezka Ostrava

Ostrava

Štrambek

Toward the end of the week we’ve been getting a bit of sun.

A very long walk

Fryštát Chateau Park

The Leaning Church

An archaeological park

Polish salt mine

Krakow

Hopefully, I'll have a chance to share more of each of those places with you in the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is an open thread.
