Latest Trump Federal Indictment Takeaways [1]

As is all too frequent in these turbulent and uncertain times, it can be very difficult to escape the talking heads, pundits, and others who prognosticate about what will happen with the latest Federal indictment of Trump.
So, I thought that I would take a break from all that and read the actual indictment as filed by Jack Smith and his team, all 45 pages of detail. Based on that effort, I have formulated my two main takeaways.
However, it’s important to recognize that the indictment is not due to what Trump said as the Repugs would have their followers believe. Rather, it is because of Trump’s actions and the actions of his as of yet unindicted co-conspirators’ actions. Read paragraph 3 of the Indictment regarding the First Amendment rights.
My first takeaway from the detail related in the indictment is that not all Republicans are Repugs. Many Federal and State officials told Trump repeatedly that his claims of voting fraud as exemplified by dead people voting, more votes cast than voters, suspicious vote dumps, double voting, non-citizens voting, and voting machines switching votes were false and not supported by the facts. Many of these officials were appointed by Trump or were his allies or Campaign officials. We can be thankful that these people adhered to their oaths, retained their integrity, and refused to collaborate Trump’s knowingly fraudulent claims. My second takeaway is that the initially unindicted Co-conspirators should be held accountable. In particular Co-Conspirators 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, all of whom are identified in the Indictment as attorneys, at a minimum should be disbarred for their attempts to subvert the laws of the United States by assisting Trump in his efforts to remain in power as Dictator by thwarting the peaceful transfer of power to the dully elected President. Hopefully, all the currently unindicted Co-Conspirators will be addressed in subsequent superseding indictments a la Walt Nauta.
Finally, thank you Jack Smith and your team! Keep up the good work! And, may you be totally successful in your efforts on behalf of the American people, at least the two thirds who have not joined the cult!
