DeKlantis attempts to revive campaign by firing elected Dem 9th District attorney [1]

CNBC is reporting here that DeKlantis is firing elected State Attorney Monique Worrell, state attorney for Florida’s Ninth District, for being “soft on crime”. It may be worth noting that she is a duly elected Democrat.
The basis for the action is:
Worrell, a Democratic elected official who took office in 2021, has been “clearly and fundamentally derelict” in her duties, the Republican governor claimed at a press conference in Tallahassee.
It wouldn’t have to do with the fact that she has three strikes against her in the DeKlantis playbook — female, Democrat, and person of color — would it? This trifecta for a firing is sure to put him at the top of the GQP favorites, I am sure. But it may not play all that well with educated women who feel men resent their success.
The replacement is Orlando Judge Andrew Bain who has the GQP trifecta in his favor — GQP, male, and serious member of the Federalist Society. Yup, let’s just put Federalist Society clones into elected offices by executive fiat. Yup, another direct appeal to the GQP primary voters. I will note his is also a person of color.
This is the second attorney DeKlantis has fired in the last two years.
