I got a notification this evening that some kind, generous soul donated a gift subscription to me, perhaps in response to yesterday’s post about the strange ‘You have exceeded your quota’ message I was getting—and which seems to be gone, at least for tonight. Then again, the ankle I wrecked back in ‘89 isn’t giving me a hard time tonight either.

Many thanks. I am honored, and touched. This will extend my current sub, which would have ended in the next month or two. Almost certainly without my notice until the ads started crusting the pages, causing unseemly cursing.

In honor of this gift, and the giver, I vow to do the same, and pass on a gift sub to someone else in the not too distant future. This is at its bleeding liberal heart a giving place, and I want to thank the one who gave a gift to me, and in doing so reminded me that I too should help someone else have a piece of something I value, and at times like this, treasure.
