A charging decision in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' 2020 election case could happen "in a matter of days.” The crowd control fencing is out in Atlanta.

x Trump's challenges to Fani Willis' ability to proceed in Georgia are dead. Judge Schuster dismisses Trump's mandamus petition with a tip of the hat to Judge McBurney's opinion. It looks like indictment no. 4 is officially on the horizon. https://t.co/n5IrRKjXwO — Joyce Alene (@JoyceWhiteVance) August 7, 2023

x Yeah it takes a special kind of intelligence to insult the judge and the prosecutor on the day you're trying to argue You haven't integrity and can be trusted

Trump lashes out at Jack Smith and Judge Chutkan hours before his lawyers face critical deadline https://t.co/HTiVRuzyRz — Jon Westergren (@WestergrenJon) August 7, 2023

Judge Chutkan just set the conditions of Donald Trump's release—ordering he "must not violate federal, state, or local law while on release" & "if convicted, must surrender as directed to serve a sentence that the court may impose." Judge Chutkan isn't playing around at all. Trump will test these constraints.

The most important thing to know about Trump's opposition to the government's proposed protective order is this: He wants the freedom to disclose witness interviews, recordings, etc. conducted outside the grand jury.

This would allow more opportunities to manipulate public opinion, as well as allow trump to marginalize the controversies over classified documents. Building Hannity program content from things he stole could be protected in support of his next insurrection action.

A smelly protective odor: The Trump legal team met a 5PM deadline over rules on evidence for the upcoming January 6th Trial. They submitted a 29 page response. the Trump response is whiney as usual in its requests for more time and asserts that crimes can be committed behind the first amendment, aside from seeking delays to discuss the protective order’s minutiae.

18 U.S. Code § 115 -“..intent to retaliate against such person on account of the performance of official duties..”THERE IS ZERO LEGAL BASIS for Trump’s recusal request (and charge in venue)
