Kitchen Table Kibitzing, August 4, 2023: After the Arraignment [1]

If you are like me, you spent a good part of yesterday glued to your TV and/or mobile device drinking in the sweet, sweet promise of Justice in America for what we went through on 1/6/2021.

Yes, the Justice Department started with the foot soldiers of the insurrection, the bottom of the pyramid, if you will. That’s been going on for a couple years now. But enter Jack Smith, and after a thorough investigation (still ongoing), whoosh, he went straight for the top. Snap. So there is TFG, all by his lonesome, wondering which and how many of his lieutenants have flipped.

I told my sister that I see Jack Smith like a knight, a champion of the people. She agreed and added that TFG is a mess. I said he is also a monster. And simultaneously we cried, he is a messy monster! Thankfully, it would appear that Jack Smith isn’t afraid of or deterred by monsters.

What a long ordeal our country has been through with this vulgar man-child, DJT. And how narrow our escape. I hope this trial comes swiftly. I hope it is televised. It really needs to be so that the public can fully grok what happened and vote in November 2024 accordingly.

We deserve peace — and grownups in office.
