Good moring, Cafe! August begins and there is so much to do! Maybe we can ignore all that for a bit and just grab a cuppa and a nosh and have a chat.

In case you didn’t know, August will bring us two full moons!

The Sturgeon Moon, the first of the month's full moons, rises on Aug. 1 in the sign of Aquarius.

The second full moon in August, nicknamed a Blue Moon for occurring in the same month as another full moon, rises on Aug. 30.

This is a lovely shot of how she travels the sky.

Sad news….

Paul Reubens, better known as Pee-wee Herman, is dead at the age of 70, according to a post on his official Facebook page on July 31, 2023.

As for his cause of death, the post indicates that he was suffering from cancer.

So many of us got so much joy from his performances! Rest in Peace, sir.

Another treasure...just gorgeous!

And finally….

“My candle burns at both ends;

It will not last the night;

But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends—

It gives a lovely light!”
