Another co-defendant was named last week in the now 40-count willful retention of documents indictment against former President Donald Trump. To this point, Mr. Trump needs the silence of his body man Waltine Nauta and the newly named third defendant Mar-a-Lago property manager and former valet Carlos De Oliveira. Nauta repeatedly has been referred to as the guy who gets Trump’s Diet Cokes, and how long will it be before De Oliveira is the guy who gets coffee? Videotaped evidence of both men moving boxes of allegedly illegally retained documents and evidence of lying about the same to the FBI is mounting.

Reportedly Mr. Trump is paying his own and others legal fees from money donated through his Save America Pac to the tune of 40 million dollars. The payments include 200,000 dollars to De Oliveira’s attorney John Irving. Trump is also paying the legal fees of Waltine Nauta. If one reads the details of the “speaking indictment,” it reads like a Mario Puzo gangster novel. Nauta went to De Oliveira, telling him that “someone” wanted to make sure he was “good.” Nauta informed Mr. Trump that De Oliveira was loyal and “would not do anything to affect his relationship with Trump.” De Oliveira was then provided with paid legal counsel. It feels as though Mr. De Oliveira would have gotten a fish wrapped in a newspaper had he said anything considered disloyal.

Despite what appears to be attempts to buy the silence of his alleged co-conspirators, he may have a Sonny Corleone—in his midst—speaking out of turn. In the indictment, identified as employee # 4, the Mar-a-Lago IT director would not or could not wipe clean alleged video evidence of Nauta and De Oliveira moving boxes of documents. We now know the name of employee four, who has been identified as Yucil Taveras. It seems Taveras would not close the conspiracy circle. In a timeline compiled by the publication Bloomberg Law: on June 27, De Oliveira had a conversation with the IT Director at 9:49 a.m. — De Oliveira takes the IT director to a small “audio closet” near a ballroom and says their conversation “should remain between the two of them.” De Oliveira asks about video storage and is advised that such footage is kept on a server for about 45 days. He says “the boss” wants it deleted. The IT director says he can’t do that and advises De Oliveira to speak to a security supervisor at the Trump Organization instead.

At 10:14 a.m. De Oliveira places a call to Nauta

At 1:06 p.m., Nauta texts De Oliveira that he is on his way to Mar-a-Lago.

Between 1:31 p.m. - 1:50 p.m. — De Oliveira walks through the bushes at the northern edge of the property to meet with Nauta on an adjacent property. He then goes back to the IT office and then back through the bushes to meet again with Nauta.

Mr. Trump then places a three and one half minute call to De Oliveira at 3:55 p.m.

No, this is not the parking lot scene from the movie Casino or a scenario worthy of Goodfellas. What it is are the actions of the twice impeached, twice indicted, alleged rapist Donald Trump and his emissaries. Although Republicans hope to blind the public with Hillary Clinton emails, Hunter Biden’s laptop, and imagined Chinese and Ukraine bribery conspiracies, the crimes of Donald Trump are in plain view. Mr. Trump is warming up his throwing arm, and the bus wheels are rolling.
