Good day and welcome to DKos Asheville. This is the weekly DKos Asheville Open Thread for Saturday, July 29th, 2023.

Dear readers,

I have moved away from my cabin in the deep woods after 31 years. I am transitioning to a little camper on my new lot on the edge of a little mountain town.



From there, I will be creating a new space and home over the next several months, with an early spring target for moving in.



One step at a time, including next Saturday, when I make this blog entry on a new iPad instead of my oversized desktop PC, now in temporary storage.



Adjusting to a camper should be an adventure. The experience of many, many months underwater on a submarine has prepared me well. And the camper has windows. Cool.
