Finally had a day that stayed under 80 until mid-afternoon. It was kinda refreshing.

Forest fire season is now in full bloom in Montana. There’s a big one down the Swan Valley and another at Skalkaho Pass.

The lake continues to be about 2 and a half feet below full pool which screws a lot of shore-based businesses with water services-restaurants, home rentals and watercraft rentals primarily. There are a lot of farms that get their irrigation from all the sloughs in the drainage but river flows are too low to recharge them. They even declared “hoot owl” hours for fishing, no fishing after 2 pm. And there is no hope in sight for any productive change.

The good news is that the skies are staying relatively clear.
