Kitchen Table Kibitzing; Thurs., July 27 [1]

This is one of those weeks where I can’t think of anything at all to write about. I’m heading over to my daughter’s tomorrow afternoon to spend the night while she and her partner go to tube down a river about 2 hours away. My dog is spending the night with a dog sitter here while I go to the East Bay to watch her two dogs. One of them is a 14.5-year-old German Shepherd who is not doing very well.

Went over there yesterday to get the lowdown on all of the meds I have to give her and to find out what I have to watch out for. Fortunately, I will be able to reach them via text in case of an emergency.

I have a lot of anxiety about going because the dog is so frail and I am so afraid something will happen on my watch.

I was going to post some climate shorts here but the headlines are just too terrifying to me to deal with right now. I’ve signed up for another Ketamine treatment for next week to see if it can help with the anxiety I’ve been experiencing for the past few weeks.

That’s about all I have to report. This is an open thread. I have a calendaring conflict this evening so I’ll pop in if and when I get a chance.
