Dear MSNBC -- Please squeeze some of the great Biden economy news between 24/7 Indictment coverage [1]

The other day I was watching Nicole Wallace’s Deadline White House. I don’t think there were major developments in the Trump cases, but the top of the hour was all indictment watch speculation. Finally, at about 4:45, she did a segment, Morgan Stanley admits they were wrong about Bidenomics, crediting President Joe Biden’s economic policies with driving an unexpected surge in the U.S. economy. Jamess diaried this as Morgan Stanley finally gets behind Bidenomics.

The segment featured Cornell Belcher (i.e., the “good Cornell”), President of Brilliant Corners Research & Strategies. He had one message — Why isn’t every Democrat trumpeting this message in every forum they have? He said it’s malpractice not to do so. Certainly it won’t be heard on Fox, and hardly on non-Fox MSM. Nicole couldn’t agree more.

Then I watched Nicole’s 5:00 segment: MORE TRUMP CRIME NEWS! Combinations of Glenn Kirshner, Andrew Weisman, Joyce Vance, Harry LItman, Neal Kaytal et al. continued through her show and into primetime. And most of it was pure speculation. Yes, highly informed and intelligent speculation, but speculation nonetheless.

Obviously, MSNBC is not listening to Cornell. We’ve had weeks of great economic news on almost every criteria — inflation, growth, employment. Yet barely covered by the “liberal” news network.

I get it. Democrats lap up every crumb of Trump crime news. And maybe MSNBC market research tells them to feature that to the exclusion even of great Biden economic news.

But why not just devote 3-5 minutes at the top of the hour with e.g., today’s headline about unexpectedly high growth? Then go back to endless Andrew, Harry, Joyce, Neal et al.
