It’s absolutely unimaginable and totally absurd
this latest from DeSantis that we just recently heard
He says slavery had positive aspects , some parts were actually good
He’d change the history, if only he could.
He uses the example of slaves learning skills
never mentioning people were enslaved ...against their own wills.
He says slaves could be happy though they had no life choices
No freedom to learn, to express their own voices…
Families separated forever, left only with tears...
many generations ...for too many years.
What DeSantis is doing is surely no mystery
he wants to re-write our country’s dark history.
He wants children to be free from having a clue
about what we did in our country…of what is really true.
It’s the gospel according to Florida’s Ron
and unfortunately there are too many who are in on the con.
This is a travesty….it’s really crappy
to propose the idea that slaves lived lives that were happy.
