This is good news if confirmed. The Onyx cruise missile is effective, but in short supply. They were used in the attack on Odesa. Hopefully it is now in even shorter supply.

x Onyx missiles might have been the target during this morning attack on Crimea. Sources of the local underground "Crimean partisans" report that a batch of P-800 Onyx rockets was destroyed in an ammunition warehouse in the Dzhankoy district. pic.twitter.com/UlTZ217eos — NOELREPORTS 🇪🇺 🇺🇦 (@NOELreports) July 24, 2023

And Ukraine apparently struck Moscow with a drone attack.

x Apart from the National Defense Management Center, the buildings complex hit by a Ukrainian drone in Moscow this morning is home to the secret GRU military unit 26165, whose employees were indicted by the U.S. back in 2018 for their cyber activity. https://t.co/zz3yEiw6rH https://t.co/Id5Xmot9A9 — Mark Krutov (@kromark) July 24, 2023

They blew the shit out of that tank.

x Interesting! A Russian tank is destroyed with a 155mm M712 Copperhead (or similar) laser guided artillery shell fired by an AHS Krab self-propelled howitzer.

The interesting part is that the poster, WarLive, states that the targeting system from a Stugna-P (Skif) ATGM was used… pic.twitter.com/Y7ag7LNNaG — OSINT (Uri) 🇺🇦 (@UKikaski) July 22, 2023

And another BMP, with added turret toss.

Russia has shown its willingness to bomb anything — churches, kindergartens, homes and aid centers.

x On 23 July, Russia shelled Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Oblast, with cluster munitions.

As a result, the Palace of Culture, where humanitarian and medical aid was being provided, burned down, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko said.

Russia should be expelled from UNESCO for this attack. Of course, that won’t happen, but it should.

Odesa residents turned out in force to help clean up after the attack. Would you see anything like this after a similar attack in Russia?

This is correct. Putin is willing to destroy as much of Ukraine as possible. He was just fine with destroying the ancient city of Aleppo in Syria. The only thing keeping him from using nuclear weapons in Ukraine is the fear of retaliation from the West.

x I believed Russia would not destroy historic Odesa, because of the city's significance to the Russian empire. But I was wrong - now it seems they know they will never control it again, so they are happy to see it burn. https://t.co/lwoUqMJdbU — Anne Applebaum (@anneapplebaum) July 23, 2023

It will take many decades to remove all the mines from Ukraine.

A lot of people are fixated on supplying Ukraine with ATACMS, but GLSDBs is probably a better solution.

ATACMS won’t end the threat from Russian cruise missiles. More Patriot and NASAMS systems will help more.

x Many people are (understandably) clamoring for ATACMS after the attacks on Odesa. But the missiles (Kh-22/P-800 Onyx and Iskander-M) responsible for these attacks have an operational range that is beyond that of ATACMS. Brimstone is a British system that can be launched by air or ground. It is a fire-and-forget missile. You aim it toward the enemy and the missile selects a target. It is especially effective against armor.

This guy can’t wait to become cannon fodder.

x The effect of decades of Russian propaganda is on this video.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko says two breathtakingly stupid things:

1. The Wagner Group mercenaries now calling Belarus home are anxious to attack Poland and go to Warsaw. Yevgeny Prigozhin isn’t nearly that stupid.

2. Belarus stands ready to help defend western Ukraine against an attack by Poland. Huh?

Either Lukashenko is playing some kind of 7th-level chess to humor Putin or he’s off his meds.

x Lukashenko speaks:

“Poland taking over Ukrainian lands would be unacceptable. If Western Ukraine would asks us for help, we will of course provide it.”
