Is 05/20/24 Too Late to make a Difference -- Or is it Late enough, to Make even Bigger Cases? [1]

My first reaction to Aileen Cannon’s ruling for the start date of the Mar-a-Lago Documents Trial was to be underwhelmed. My second reaction was disappointment. My next reaction was cynical disillusion with the “speed and effectiveness” of the Justice system. (Again!)
But then it dawned on me, that Ms. Aileen may have actually done the proponents of Justice, the biggest favor of all. The start date 6 months after the December 11th start date that Special Counsel Jack Smith had requested — actually opens up a big logistical window, that allows for the other more important cases against Trump, to be possibly squeezed in.
Those other cases will be not so easy to shrug off by the casual observer. And since they are more “open and shut” cases — without the all complexities of Top Secret Docs ... those cases, in theory, could be started sooner, without all the lead time for lawyerly prep. And they will likely be started in more favorable venues, with Judges having little sympathy for the lame excuses of the accused.
First the news today, in case you missed it:
The federal judge overseeing the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump has decided the criminal trial will begin May 20, 2024, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
[...] "The court rejects Defendant’s request to withhold setting a schedule now," Cannon wrote in her motion. She said the court "does not see sufficient basis on this record to postpone entry of a scheduling order."
[...] A Trump spokesperson said in a statement Friday that Cannon's decision is " a major setback to the DOJ’s crusade to deny President Trump a fair legal process." www.nbcnews.com — 7/21/2023
Those other more important cases against Trump, likely to be brought in the meantime, include:
For once, in this sad pathetic saga, maybe just maybe:
Justice delayed, actually results in ‘more and better’ Justice applied.
It’s long past time for Karma to finally step on the stage, and actually bend towards Justice.
What say you? The floor is yours. (Watch where you step … )
