Musk has confirmed his killer “self driving” cars are overpriced.

Tesla chief executive Elon Musk says the electric carmaker could continue to cut prices as the world economy is in "turbulent times". The multi-billionaire's comments came after the company reported that its profit margins had been squeezed as it faced tough competition. In recent months, Tesla has cut its prices several times in major markets, including the US and China. The firm's shares fell by more than 4% in after-hours trade in New York.

For Republicans who may be reading that, this is how capitalism is designed to work. Another company may build a less hyped and better mousetrap for less and no way can you stop customers buying them. (Hint to Musk: it does not help your sales if you advertise the price of you product is going to reduce.) You cannot force them to pay stratospheric amounts more than something is worth, unless they have already entered into a contract to buy shares in it.
