Republishing a piece from a couple of years back, simply because I love the story.

52 years ago, my friend Greg took the train up from DC to Baltimore to see the supergroup Blind Faith. After a bit of wandering around, he found the Civic Center, got a ticket and went in.

At showtime, the band didn't come onstage. An hour past, they still hadn’t.

Apparently, Ginger Baker refused to walk away from the TV in the dressing room until he'd seen man walk on the moon. With no giant screens and jumbotrons, the arena staff scrounged nearly every TV set in the house and lined them up along the front of the stage for the audience.

Finally, just shy of 11 o'clock, Neil and Buzz did their thing, Baker watched and the band hit the stage and played their album, in order, then split.

Thankfully, Neil, Buzz and Michael found their way home.
