How do you like that picture!
I chose that, because the first song I am posting, is sort of a classic love song, but I feel that I can apply it to my friends. That includes you, who are clicking and commenting here, at this diary.
So, you and I are friends, like the cat and the toddler in the picture.
Hugs!
Here is the link to the list of songs I am using:

And here we go!
Sting, at number 96:
Seems to me, I will never lose my faith in my family, friends, and neighbors, collectively. Certain individuals might be less than wonderful, but, collectively, I feel a pretty strong faith in my circle of family, friends, and neighbors.
Rod Stewart, at number 90:
I do not like the message in the lyrics. What I like is the visuals of this video, and the piano music, and the violin. I can play the violin myself, but not very well. So, anytime I hear truly nice violin music, I enjoy it and admire the skills of the violinist.
Ice Cube, at number 78:
I am a white man, and my whole life has been pretty much carefree. (Aside from living from paycheck to paycheck. And my first wife died. And my second wife died.) But I have never lived as a Black man, in a Black neighborhood. My second wife, Tonia, was a Black woman, born and raised in the Black neighborhood of Wichita, Kansas. So, she knew, quite well, the daily challenges that Ice Cube is highlighting in this song. So, out of respect for her, and Black Americans, I decided to post this video. Bittersweet.
Aerosmith, at number 60:
I do not understand the story told in the lyrics, so I will ignore that. Musically, it’s a classic hard rock tune. Enjoy it!
Ace of Base, at number 51:
So glad I checked on this one. I truly do remember it. Such a nice hook, such a nice pop song. The message is depressing, but a word to the wise, is a good thing.
Duran Duran, at number 41:
The official video has fish and sharks and a woman doing an escape artist trick. The same trick that Harry Houdini often did. Houdini died from either getting punched by a man who was trying to kill him, or an infected appendix. But he kept trying to perform his tricks, even with severe pain, rather than going to the hospital. Anyway, the video made me feel a little bit depressed, so you got this still picture, instead.
Rod Stewart, at number 32:
Ah, so smooth, so nice.
Billy Joel, at number 26:
www.bing.com/…
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night
Seems that he was trying to connect with Black, southern, gospel, music. Very smooth, and thoughtful. I like Billy Joel.
Vanessa Williams and Brian McKnight, at number 21:
Smooth and nice.
Mariah Carey, at number 8:
So smooth and nice, and such a nice video! Outdoors is great.
Janet Jackson, at number 4:
I do not even remember hearing this, back in the olden days. But it’s so smooth, so nice.
Okay, here is the link to the list, again:
