Al Gore, Climate Change & What to do When SCOTUS Steals the Presidency from You [1]

Donald Trump led MAGA in a violent insurrection to steal the presidency from its rightful winner, Joe Biden. In 2000, SCOTUS, the Bush family, the State of Florida colluded to steal the presidency from its rightful winner, Al Gore.

Whenever you hear Jimmy Dore or other fake lefties say there’s no difference between the two major political parties, you only have to say two words: Al Gore.

Because if anybody had a right to stage a street revolution to protest a stolen presidency, it was Al Gore, not Traitor Trump.

I was fortunate to speak to Gore at a 2007 event related to his prophetic, Oscar-winning movie An Inconvenient Truth and his book Earth in the Balance, and asked him why he did not fight harder against the election theft.

He said the only alternative left to him after the SCOTUS debacle was to lead a street revolution. He used those very words. He explained that the power elites and street thugs arrayed against him and the Dems included dangerous domestic terrorists who in November 2000 attacked Miami-Dade, Florida election offices to shut down counting that would have led to a Gore victory.

The echoes of this event, now called the Brooks Brothers riots, are seen writ large in Trump’s Jan. 6th attempt to shut down certification of the presidential electors by Congress.

“I would have had blood on my hands,” Gore said, “and maybe on my body, if we had done that [engaged in fervent street protests against SCOTUS]. It could have led to something very much like a civil war. But I do know that things would have been very different for our country, in positive ways, if I had figured out how to successfully get the recounts.”

What an understatement!

Also of interest is Gore’s view of why he didn’t get so many more votes than Bush in multiple key states that he had a clear electoral college victory.

He candidly said it was failures of himself, his vice presidential candidate, and the Democratic messaging machine, along with Jeb Bush’s elections chief purging tens of thousands of Democratic voters before the election that most contributed to the vote deficits that led to the bogus results in Florida.

Of note is that he did not mention Ralph Nader as one of the causal factors, even though I mentioned Nader to him twice.

In person he is such a serious, witty, sophisticated, honest persona, and I left our brief encounter feeling very sad, a sadness that never fully went away, that he had not been crowned the winner in 2000.

One wonders if 9/11 would even have happened if Gore was president. And Gore has said that if he had been president and even if the terrorist attacks on us did happen, he would not have started the Iraq war, which he correctly calls the “biggest foreign policy mistake” in American history.

We also know Gore would have been superior to George W. Bush in many other ways, including that he was not owned by the Saudi oil Islamists as Bush was. Indeed, Al was opposed to fossil fuels, knowing that when they’re used as directed, they poison the biosphere and negatively alter climate.

Gore has been relatively quiet on the public stage ever since a “massage scandal” in 2010. Gore was accused by three massage therapists of attempting to get them to give him a “happy ending.” Police agencies and prosecutors investigated the claims and found them false.

Now Gore is back in the media, reminding viewers about his sequel to the original Oscar-winning documentary about climate change. This one is aptly titled An Inconvenient Sequel and it’s brutally honest. So honest that the usual denialists who can’t handle ecological truth are calling Gore and the film’s experts “doomers.”

Whenever you hear the word doomer, translate it as “someone who tells the whole truth about anthropogenic mass extinction and climate change.”

What’s especially ironic about the doomer slur is that Gore is a huge promoter of alternative energy, and has an optimistic outlook. Listen to the interview embedded below—Gore is pushing hard to make change, teaching as many people as possible how to fight hard against the industries most profiting from our destruction of the biosphere.

Gore appeared on the Marc Maron WTF podcast. The discussion shows you the huge differences between Republicans and Democrats, and between Gore and Trump or Bush.

If anybody ever tells you the Dems are as corrupt and dangerous as the GOP, ask them to look at how Al Gore and the Dems reacted when an election actually was stolen. Now compare it to how Trump and MAGA reacted when an election was NOT stolen.

That’s all you need to say. Now take a look at this insightful, sobering Al Gore interview, which is still relevant and current even though it was done in 2017...
